is a non-profit organization founded in 1993 dedicated to providing educational information on the subject of vaccinations and to protecting and supporting individual/parental rights to make vaccine decisions in Michigan.

Who Are We?

Michigan Opposing Mandatory Vaccines (M.O.M.) is a non-profit organization founded in 1993 dedicated to providing educational information on the subject of vaccinations and to protecting and supporting individual/parental rights to make vaccine decisions in Michigan.

Our Board of Directors, comprised mostly of healthcare professionals, recognize and respect individual/parental rights. M.O.M. is not anti-vaccine. We believe an individual should not be forced to vaccinate. Parents have the ultimate right and responsibility to make healthcare decisions for their children.

M.O.M. has over 500 members today. Our organization was responsible for saving the right of people in Michigan to make vaccine decisions. Please join us and help us continue to protect your right to make vaccine decisions!

Our Focus

We focus on preserving vaccine choice for everyone in Michigan by:
  • Supporting legislators who defend the right of vaccine choice
  • Vigilantly watching for new vaccination requirements and mobilizing against them
  • Supporting efforts in other states to maintain vaccination choice
  • Providing educational opportunities through Vaccine Information Conferences
  • Giving presentations (Contact Mary Tocco to schedule one in your area!)
  • Creating a clearinghouse of vaccination resources
  • Testifying before the legislature, both state and federal
  • Appearing and advertising in local media to heighten public awareness
  • Providing a support network to parents who choose not to vaccinate

The issue of vaccine choice affects everyone, especially as college and workplace requirements become more common. We need your support to continue our vital preservation work. Please join us today by completing our membership form.
